Buenos Aires

Well Buenos Aires was uneventful. Landed late evening and a few of us decided to go out for dinner.  As we had landed a bit late everything near the hotel was closed so we had to walk a bit.  We finally got a recommendation from someone and headed to that restaurant. Talk about FANCY!

Passed a nice shopping mall on the way

La Chacra

Mmmmm.....

Empanada starter

My steak with chimmichurri sauce

Delicious Malbec

Group shot!

Complimentary champagne

The décor.....

...was interesting.

Of course we each had to then take pictures on top of this

Clock Tower

Unfortunately I did not really do any sightseeing as my foot started to hurt. I decided to rest up as I had to make sure it was better for the tour in Rio.

Rio de Janeiro part 1

In love!!!! First trip here & although we didn't do too much on this sector I have to say that I love rio! The people, the weather, the beach, the food!!!! This place is alive with excitement & passion.

13.5 hour flight up get here tends to leave crew tired. We just met up for drinks at the pool bar (caipirinhas of course).  Then to the 90 minute debate of where to get dinner. Finally after an INSANE public bus ride, we finally arrived into the city (Ipanema) & found a place to eat. It kinda reminded me of nandos but a local Brazilian crew explained that it served traditional Brazilian food. After thoroughly stuffing our faces we headed back to the hotel to pass out.

Christ the redeemer on top of that mountain ;)

Gorgeous beaches

View from my room

Extremely strong caipirinha

Dinner. Grilled chicken, steak, fries, rice & beans. Was really delicious & simple.

Off to Buenos Aires in a few hours. Hopefully we can make it to a churresquiera there.

Venice, Italy

Aaaaah Venice. SUCH a gorgeous city! It was one of the amazing layovers I did in my second month of flying. I just remember having such a great time and it being ridiculously HOT in June! A little smelly too since the heat kinda "baked" all the junk in the sewers & canals. Anyways with that smelly thought.....

I'm a tourist. I had to take a picture with a gondolier!

THE best tiramisu I have EVER had in my life!
